Emmaus Ministry

The Emmaus Ministry prepares and leads the Emmaus Retreat, —a weekend encounter where participants meet Jesus in a deeply personal and transformative way. Guided by the Holy Spirit, this retreat has brought conversion, healing, and renewal to many who, like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, feel their hearts “burning within them” as they walk with the Lord.

Inspired by Luke 24:13–35, the Emmaus Retreat reflects the journey of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, where their encounter with the risen Jesus opened their eyes, renewed their faith, and transformed their lives from the depths of their hearts.

The retreat is currently offered only in Spanish and is a full‑weekend experience open to all adults ages 18 and older. Led by trained lay leaders, the Emmaus ministry welcomes Catholics as well as Christians from other denominations. Separate men’s and women’s retreats are held once a year.

The mission of Emmaus is to help participants deepen their love for Jesus Christ and, through that love, to grow in service to their brothers and sisters—in their homes, in the parish, and in the wider community.
