Becoming Catholic

OCIA – The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

Is the process for adults who desire to join the Catholic faith and for those seeking more information on the Catholic Church. OCIA can also be a method for Catholics to complete their reception of the initiation sacraments.
At St. Joseph we offer a program that starts in September with sessions that progressively cover the foundations of the Catholic Faith. However, any person that is inquiring about Catholicism is welcome to come at anytime of the year and participate in any of the Formation opportunities that are offered. The OCIA process is a personal journey. It usually takes from 2 to 3 years to prepare and receive the initiation sacraments.
